A new model of care to improve treatment and recovery from acute back pain The Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF), in partnership with SIRA and leading clinicians in low back pain, delivered a webinar in April 2025 on the Model of Care for the Management of Low Back Pain - Summary (Summary Model). The webinar recording is available to support the development needs of NSW Health Providers on practical, evidence-based strategies in the treatment of acute low back pain with the intention of improving outcomes for people with injuries.   The webinar was presented by:  1. Professor Michael Nicholas Professor Nicholas is a clinical psychologist and has an outstanding record of achievement in multidisciplinary pain management, pain education and psychosocial pain research. 2. Professor Chris Maher Professor Maher is a physiotherapist, recognised internationally for his research that has changed how back pain is conceptualised and managed.  We welcome you to view the webinar recording to learn about the Summary Model.
