The Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF), in partnership with SIRA and a leading clinician in low back pain, delivered a webinar in May 2025 on the Model of Care for the Management of Low Back Pain - Summary (Summary Model).
The webinar recording is available to support the development needs of insurers in NSW on practical, evidence-based strategies to support the recovery of people with back injuries.

A new model of care to improve treatment and recovery for acute low back pain
The Summary Model is an up to date, evidence-informed guide on best practice management of acute low back pain. It encourages self-management, continuing usual activities including work wherever possible, empowering the person in their recovery journey.
Participants will learn why the Summary Model was developed, its key principles and how available resources can be used to promote the Summary Model as evidence-based practice for the management of acute low back pain.
